Herdsmen Sue Oyo Over Anti-Open Grazing Law

Herdsmen in Oyo State on Thursday sued the State Executive and Legislative arms of government, claiming the anti-open grazing law passed by the State was a violation of their rights.

The law had been passed to check clashes between farmers and herders in the State.

Disgruntled herdsmen under the umbrella of Gan Allah Development Association of Nigeria expressed their reservations in the suit which also listed the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo as a defendant.
