The Senate on Wednesday, began the confirmation process of both Mohammad Mamman Nami, and Edward Lametek Adamu as Chairmen of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), respectively.
Mamman’s screening process is to be carried out by the Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola led committee on Finance, who would present its report on Wednesday next week for confirmation.
Senator Uba Sani led Committee on Banking, Finance and other financial institutions has been mandated to carry out the screening process of Edward Adamu and present a report on Wednesday next week as well.
The President had earlier submitted both names to the Senate for screening and subsequent confirmation.
Buhari’s submission of Mr. Edward for confirmation, indicates that former National legal adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muiz Banire has been sacked.
